Fender 1962 Princeton Reissue vs. Magnatone Varsity Reverb. A Detailed Comparison of Tones and Specs

Six months ago I was looking to purchase a brown face (sounding) amp. It didn't specifically have to be a Fender. I just wanted that incredibly rich, earthy tone often associated with the brown face sound. I was torn between the Fender '62 Princeton Reissue and the Magnatone Varsity Reverb. Both amps had attributes that I both liked and disliked. This made the decision extremely tough. To make matters worse, both of these amps are extremely hard to find in an actual music store, so there wasn't an option to 'try before buy.' I went with the Magnatone first, but shortly after I found a pretty good deal on the Princeton, so alas, I ended up with both. Fast forward to six months of ownership and here we are today. In this video I go over the aspects that I have personally found (for my playing situation) to be the benefits and drawbacks of each amp. I also demonstrate lead and rhythm tones with a few different music styles and guitars.
