Driving in Bulgaria: I-9 E87 from Burgas to Nessebar / Бургас - Несебър

In this video you can ride along on republic road I-9 E87 from Burgas to Nessebar in the Southeast of Bulgaria. Burgas is Bulgaria's 2nd largest coastal city (after Varna) and its surrounding beaches on the Black Sea draw a lot of tourists each year. Nessebar is a UNESCO-listed ancient city on a small peninsula North of Burgas. It's known for some of the ancient ruins and the windmill that you pass on the landbridge to the peninsula. Nessebar is also very popular with tourists, especially those that spend their holidays in the nearby Sunny beach. The I-9 is a major road connecting Bulgaria's most important cities on the Black Sea and continuing to Romania in the North. A small part of it just South of Varna was upgraded to the A5 motorway. Most of the road is still standard although expansion plans have existed for a long time.
