3d Printed Arctic F12 vs 40cm Honeywell Ventilator
I find a regular-sized fan far too powerful and loud for my needs. For example, it is almost impossible to watch TV while it is on the lowest setting and the wind is much too strong to directly be in the blast, even when it is 2-3 meters away. Not sure though, if my 40 cm ventilator is typical in that regard?! That is why I printed this ventilator with 3x Arctic F12 fans. Due to the lower wind power I would place it in about 1-2 meters distance, where it feels comfortable and feels about 1/10 as loud as the Honeywell ventilator. I am making use of a 12 V power supply and a PWM module, that directly takes effect on the power that is going to the fan, so it only works with 3 pin fans, not with those 4 pin ones that requite a separate PWM signal line.
