Extensive Dog Proof Raccoon Trap Review

I gave 6 different types of dog proof traps a thorough test on the trapline. Duke, modified Duke, Bridger, Freedom Brand, Coon Dagger, and Z Trap. I know there are plenty of others who may have differing opinions but the first half of the video is just the basic features of each trap, along with a test of how much force is required to fire each trap. The last half of the video is observations and my opinions from using the traps on my trapline. All in all I think any serious raccoon trapper should put a high priority on a push/pull trigger. This increases the odds of a catch, by how much I'm not sure but it definitely ups the odds. That distinction alone weeds out half the traps tested. For me the Z trap was the easiest to use and I was really satisfied with its performance. There will be more Z traps on my trapline in the coming years.
