The congestion at the border between France and Spain continues. French authorities have closed the border to heavy vehicles for a second day due to a large fire in the north of the Landes department, affecting the A-63 motorway, 200 kilometers away. The truckers' association has reported that nearly 10,000 trucks have been affected because "they have no alternative," says Juan José Gil, general secretary of Fenadismer. Gil maintains that the trucks are carrying perishable food and that this situation could put the goods at their destination at risk.
