"[Content belongs to YT @Thejey]" ——————————————————————— finished this like 3-4h ago but i got a block every time,,, sooo now after infinitive of tries, i hope it works now. also sorry for the annoying pauses :DD [sorry for typos] ADRESSING CHAN ISSUE: if you're not aware of it, you live under a rock, buuut in the 3racha stage at mcountdown(?) he had cornrows-braids. this has been an issue for very long and the action to use braids like e.x cornrows, box braids, bantu knots and ETC. i won't go far deep into it, but search up "culture appropriation" if you wanna dig deeper into it. i'm sure a lot of you are confused and don't understand the "big" issue about hair. the braids go far beyond style and has been important for black culture in a long time when racism was a lot bigger. now it's been trendy, but only to look a certain way, we use their culture just for style, we don't really appreciate why and where it comes from, but only for style. idk how i can light properly on this topic, because i'm not the right person to ask. some stays lives where this is normal, but just because you've grown up to it where it is normalised doesn't mean that the rest of the word has it normalised, and you should respect that. we all come from different backgrounds, and if you can't respect that others has grown up where black people have been bullied and discriminated for their hairstyles while the whites have been praised to have the exact same hairstyle, you need to understand that this is an issue. MY OPINION ON IT: this is my opinion only and if you disagree, you're free to do that, but be open minded when reading it thanks. also i'm on "no one's side", and i'm not the one to decide whether i'm offended or not since i'm not black. Honestly i'm kind of,, shocked? i was like so sure that he at least was gonna adress the issue in the vlive, and he did talk about culture and stuff, but i's still not enough. i'm not gonna go all ot8 or 2racha because let's not be childish, he's their leader, the creator of the group and don't get mad at me yet, but all the times he has shown his good side and how open minded he is. the way he really tries to not let us down, i don't think his intention with the hairstyle was to offend anyone. still, he did hurt people. he still have time to apologise... i still have hope in him and i hope he can understand what he did and try to learn from his mistake. stays are here to teach him, so do not attack or threaten him. the fact that people call themselves stays after attaching the leader and screaming ot8 and 2racha on the vlives while he clearly sees it is the most immature attitude. we are better than this ok?
