Diamonds & Stones | A Song Inspired by Our Community

Sometimes the most powerful ideas come from the community. This song was inspired by a comment from Susan, who shared a simple but profound perspective: “Some days are diamonds, some days are stones.” She explained that when she’s having a difficult day, she doesn’t call it a bad day. She simply calls it a Stone Day. That small shift in language helps her acknowledge the struggle without letting it define her life. The moment I read her comment, it stopped me in my tracks. For those of us living with Parkinson’s, chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, or life’s everyday challenges, there are days when everything feels possible… and there are days when just getting through the day feels like an accomplishment. Neither type of day defines who we are. This song is a celebration of both. The Diamond Days that remind us why we keep going.
