Giant Mouse | Ace Clyde | Brass Here we have the GM Ace Clyde in brass, and what a unique looking little folder this is ! This GM really made an impression on me, because i was not expecting it to be as good as it was haha. It honestly has some seriously good action on it along with the blade. I diddnt really think the blade was going to be that good at cutting in my daily jobs in all fairness. But boy was i wrong !! This is such a fidgety blade as well, i am constantly playing with it. The scales also dont look too thick in my opnion but when it is in your hand you can definitely feel that its there, as it weighs a rather nice amout, it also fills up your hand pretty well in fact. Although there is no grip on them, it has not made a difference when i use it personally as i have had no slipping or gripping issues. I was sceptical about it only having one thumb stud but i can see why they have done that from a design point of view. As i usually spydie flick all my knives this one in fact cant be nor does it actually need to be. Because the action is so sweet the build up you get to pop that blade out is instantanious and you dont have to use that much pressure at all. A little said that the m390 did not pass the shaving test but you have to give it credit because i dont think spratley had sharpened it at all since he had aquired it ! so i think it done well after its weeks worth with me on top. I have now sharpened it and it will be heading back to spratley shortly. However, whoever sharpened this before...... it was like it had been sharpened on an angle grinder whilst on a boat. The degrees where all over the shot ! some 17 each side, some 25/30 each side it was a bit of a mess to say the least. But i give credit for trying !! Now it is all perfect and the same angle the entire way down the edge pretty much and its stinking sharp too. I feel that £170-180 is managable if you do want it. i mean look at the yojimbo 2 for example thats at a pretty close price point and you only get s35vn and g10 scales soooooo its a potatoe potato situation i think. I personally would have like Ti instead of the brass imo for that price but they still have an unusal scale material that you dont always see on most knives.
