Master Grade Gundam Vidar Full Kit Review - [4K]

Hello everyone, welcome back to the channel, today we're going to be reviewing the latest master grade release from bandai, Gundam Vidar. It's been about 3 years since the last non "ver Ka" master grade release, and luckily we have another Gundam to go along with MG Barbatos, from Iron Blooded Orphans. Master Grade Barbatos released in 2019, so it's been 6 years since a Master Grade release from this series. Master Grade is dead has been a big meme in the community as of late, and we can see why, there's been quite a drought of master grade releases since the pandemic. Luckily Bandai took that time to develop a fantastic kit with MG Vidar, this is one of my favorite master grades that I've built so far. Vidar has everything I've ever wanted, it has a great size in the 1/100 scale. Vidar has really nice mechanical detailing on the frame, but a plethora of surface detailing on the outward armor. It's articulation is wonderful and it's color accuracy is perfect. The kit also comes packed with features and gimmicks, such as movable pistons within the frame, and realistic motion on the handguns and rifle. Gundam Vidar was certainly worth the wait, I'm just hoping bandai doesn't make us wait another 6 years for a MG IBO release. There where only a few gripes I had with this kit, those being the rear leg thrusters liked to pop off, as well as some poor placement of nub's. I think bandai should've molded the side sheath boosters to have undergating as it would've saved these parts from having very noticable nubs on the outside. At the end of the day this is a model kit so I can't fault it for having seam lines and nubs, just an observation of something I think could've been handled better on the release to make this kit easier for out of box builders. I'm hopeful with the pandemic behind us and production getting back to normal with bandai, that we'll continue getting 2/3 MG's a year, this is just speculative and hopeful of course but this kit has me very excited for this line to continue. If I had to have a kit made in MG from IBO I'd definitely pick Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City as the next release after Lupus, which had recently been announced.
