NS train 26C hauling butt through Walton Kentucky!!!

With the Chicago unit second out, one of the many DC-to-AC conversions is moving fast and leading train 26C (Jacksonville, FL - Chicago, IL premium intermodal) through Walton, Kentucky at 9:41AM on Sunday, June 7, 2026. This location is a nice spot to hangout for a bit and if you look very closely in the background at the beginning as the NS crossing gates activate, you will see the railroad crossbuck signs protecting the CSXT Louisville Sub (a.k.a. The Short Line). I thought it would be cool to see a CSX train passing thru with the NS train, but all was quiet on their line on this Sunday morning while I was there. The NS line was busy though.
