Huancayo: presunto prestamista extranjero ‘gota a gota’ le corta el brazo a serenazgo

A security guard in Huancayo was the victim of a brutal attack by a suspected loan shark of Colombian nationality. The incident occurred within the city limits, behind Huamanmarca Plaza. FACTS The security guard, identified as Rubén Flores, was patrolling the streets as usual when he encountered a man loitering in the area on a motorcycle. When he approached the man, the suspect became defiant and extremely aggressive. When he was detained, the unscrupulous individual pulled a knife over 10 centimeters long from his pocket and mercilessly attacked the guard, who defended himself and suffered a deep cut to his arm. Despite being seriously wounded and bleeding profusely, he managed to subdue the foreigner, who remained aggressive throughout the ordeal. Minutes later, additional security guards and police officers arrived to provide backup and transported the assailant to the Huancayo police station. The perpetrator of this attack is Colombian citizen Nelson Castro Sotelo, who makes loans to local businesses using the "gota a gota" (loan sharking) method. The victim was taken to the Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital, where he was stabilized in the emergency room. However, due to the severity of his injury, he had to be transferred to the EsSalud Ramiro Prialé Hospital, where he underwent surgery for tendon damage.
