Suzuki Ignis Hybrid 4x4 Allgrip 2020 - cheaper Jimny? (ENG) - Test Drive and Review

Suzuki Ignis was given a mild facelift in 2020. Cosmetic changes include things like the new grill, and silver-painted elements at the bottom of the front and rear bumper, which may look like skid plates, but they are not. The biggest changes are under the bonnet, where in order to curb emissions of the naturally aspirated 1.2 liter 4-cylinder Dualjet engine Suzuki added a mild hybrid. A very mild one at that , as it’s a 12V system versus the usual 48V installation. Even Suzuki Swift Sport gets a 48V mild hybrid, Mazda3 uses a 24V mild hybrid, but the Ignis only gets 12V. Apparently that's all it needs. The integrated starter generator helps restart the engine, after it shuts off for example at the lights.
