Very metal harpsichord music! We come to the final video in our series at the Armourer's Hall and boy do we go out with a bang. What with a fierce March theme, cascades of dazzlingly scales, rich, impassioned arpeggios and bold hand crossings, what more do you want? Royer was one of the most flamboyant harpsichord composers of the 18th century and in this final piece, which ends his only book of works for the instrument, he certainly leaves a lasting impression.
