Minecraft's New Shader Command Is Secretly Overpowered
Minecraft's new /posteffect command allows us to stack post-processing effects, I've exploited this to pass dynamic data directly into a custom shader. This turns out to be surprisingly powerful, allowing creations like this in-world minimap with entity tracking and waypoints, a real-time 3D voxel renderer, and a custom car speedometer UI. This video breaks down how it works, why it wasn't possible before, and what I hope Mojang will add to make it even better!
