THE PHASE LOSS RELAY, HAVE YOU heard of it? Did you know that an air conditioner, or a MOTOR, can burn out due to a missing phase? If a phase is missing in the circuit, you can lose a motor or several motors. This PHASE FAILURE RELAY model is designed to be installed on a DIN rail, right next to your motor's control circuit (along with the circuit breaker and contactor). I chose this WEG model (Model RMW17-FF). In this video, we demonstrate the importance of using single-pole circuit breakers when installing a PHASE FAILURE RELAY. This simulates a phase failure during maintenance, allowing us to diagnose a possible device defect. We can then install a two-pole or three-pole circuit breaker for the load, i.e., the motor (depending on the voltage of each device).
