The Villages: A Tiny Window Problem turned into a MAJOR REPAIR!

What started as a window screen that wouldn't go back in, turned into one of the biggest warranty repairs we've had in our brand-new home in The Villages! After discovering that our dining room window wasn't installed square, we had a big decision to make: live with it and install a custom screen, or replace the entire window. Because our home is built with precast concrete walls, replacing the window meant cutting directly into the exterior concrete wall. If you're buying a new home in The Villages—or anywhere else—don't overlook those small warranty items. Sometimes a minor issue can reveal a much larger problem that's best addressed while it's still covered.
