Native Watercraft Rudder FIX !! (Teflon Washer and Cotter Pin with Threaded Shaft)

#native #nativewatercraft #slayermax #fishing #fishingvideo #fishinglife #kayak #kayakfishing In this video I share how I "fixed" my stock Native Watercraft rudder after it fell off on the freeway returning from a fishing trip. The stock rudder uses a bolt and I replaced it with a stainless threaded rod that is secured to the lower rudder threads with loctite and jamb nuts. The stock bolt is a nightmare because it gets loose or tight based on outside temps and you have to adjust it which defeats the blue loctite. Using a nylock nut on top with a cotter pin elimiates the issue of it getting loose and vibrating out on the road. Here is the link to the PTFE (teflon) washers I used, you need the 57mm OD ones and you need to bore out the inside diameter a small amount with a step drill bit.
