BRINGING HEALTHCARE CLOSER: Mobile Health Outreach Project in Bui Division

For many families living in the remote communities of Bui Division, access to healthcare remains a daily struggle. Long distances, limited infrastructure and the effects of ongoing insecurity have left many women, children and vulnerable residents without essential medical services. In response, the Kounougou Foundation, with the support of Fundación Recover, Hospitales para África, launched the Mobile Health Outreach Project to take healthcare directly to the people. Between April and May 2026, mobile medical teams travelled to Dzeng, Kitiwum, Kiyan, Romajai and Melim, providing consultations, maternal healthcare services, paediatric care, health education and diagnostic screenings using portable ultrasound technology. This documentary tells the story of the people behind the project, the communities served, and the impact of a partnership that brought hope and quality healthcare to some of Bui's most underserved populations.
