How to Marble Embellish Glasses and Cups

How to marble embellished glasses and cups using nail polish and a water bath. I just love this idea of custom painting and embellishing the exterior surface of plain white crockery to enhance my décor. NOTE – I wouldn’t use this for around the drinking surface of cup or glass or on a plate. Reason tells me that nail polish is poisonous…This is detected in the smell - my danger detector! Very easy application process and all you need is: Water bath: http://amzn.to/2bWJ62F - I used a deep recycled aluminum roasting dish. The container just needs to be deep enough to hold water and polish together so that whatever is being marbled is to required depth or large enough to cover surface being embellished. Nail polish in colours to suit: http://amzn.to/2cbvX6i Satay sticks: http://amzn.to/1NexQdE - to whirl nail polish floating on surface of the water, to create a marbled effect. Plastic to cover work surface area. You will also need a cake cooling rack or similar covered to place work and allow to dry. Method: Fill water bath with clean water to a depth desired for transferring marbled effect to surface of cup/glass. Pour nail polish into water bath. Use the fine stick to swirl and move nail polish around. Dip cup into water and gently lift out. Hold cup so that excess water and polish slips off. You might need to repeat process to achieved desired effect. Follow me on Facebook at   / astarsplace   and on Instagram at   / astarsplace   Go to http://www.astarsplace.co.nz for more
