A contemporary Brazilian architectural house in exposed concrete and metal structure, designed by Mayresse Arquitetura in the Aspen Mountain Condominium, in Gramado/RS. In this video, you take a complete tour of Casa K and understand the design decisions behind one of the most striking residences in the Serra Gaúcha region. Located on a spectacular lot overlooking the valley, this house in Gramado has a rare feature: access to two streets. The sloping terrain—from left to right and from front to back—generated a natural movement in the volumetry, distributed over three floors. On the front facade, privacy and natural light coexist through wooden brise-soleils that open and close according to the resident's wishes. Pedestrian access is via a large staircase leading to a spacious horizontal social area, with living, dining, and gourmet spaces. Crossing these spaces, the veranda opens to views of the Serra Gaúcha, with a cantilevered infinity pool. On the intermediate floor, three suites and an elevator connect the floors. On the upper level, a single, spacious master suite boasts phenomenal views and openings to the front and back of the residence. On the lower level, a garage with access to both streets, a service area, and a gym. The lightness of the rear volume contrasts with the elegant robustness of the front facade. The architectural design of this residence is defined by its materiality: a house with a metal structure and light spans; a house in exposed concrete with strength and texture, where natural stone weaves together the main materials (metal structure and exposed concrete) — the signature of contemporary Brazilian architecture that defines the work of architect Cadu Mayresse.
