Ahead of PH return, Mary Jane Veloso asks for clemency | ABS-CBN News

Filipina inmate Mary Jane Veloso on Tuesday expressed her hope that she will be granted clemency, ahead of her return to the Philippines from Indonesia. Asked for her message to the Philippine government before her departure from Jakarta, Veloso said: "Unang-una, nagpapasalamat ako kasi … makakauwi na ako sa Pilipinas. Pero my hope [is] makauwi ako sa pamilya ko." "Gusto ko na makalaya na ako. Clemency, mapawalang sala," she added. "Wala akong kasalanan."
