The first timers welcome also took place by the start and just before the parkrun starts. The course begins with a 500m stretch on tarmac around the lake, passing the finish on your right hand side. From this point it is 2 laps of the park, going onto the grass and following the perimeter of the park. The course is flat for most of the route with just a few small undulations. The course is a mixture of tarmac/grass/trail and can get very muddy and wet in winter.
