This time, the motion questions the validity of his suspect designation in the alleged slander case concerning President Joko Widodo's diploma, which was set for November 7, 2025. Through his attorney, Roy Suryo believes the investigators' application of Article 32 and Article 35 of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) is substantively flawed. Roy Suryo's attorneys argue that these articles are unrelated to the alleged offenses. They also deny the notion that the pretrial motion was filed to delay the main trial. Meanwhile, Andi Azwan, Chairman of Militan Gibran Nusantara, believes the second pretrial motion is an attempt to exploit the provisions of Article 163 of the new Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) to delay the main trial at the East Jakarta District Court. He also accused the move of being aimed at scrutinizing Doctor Tifa's trial to study the charges, evidence, and anticipate the prosecutor's questions before Roy Suryo goes on trial.
