Baofeng UV-5R Mod for Allstar & IRLP Nodes (Ham Radio)

There are many options for node radios. I fell the Baofeng UV-5R is the best option because: The process is very simple to setup. If you decide to put the radio back in service, you can without much work ( reconnect the speaker wires ). I know the UV-5R Handheld does cost a little more than the 888 but, the end result is much cleaner. The wire harness from the DMK URI to the HT is a Plug-n-Play harness. The only thing that needs done is remove a resister and add a short 30ga jumper wire.
