Ottawa doesn't have a reputation as a major tourist city in Canada. Some would even go so far as to say it's the most boring Canadian city! And yet, there are plenty of things to do in the nation's capital! As you may know, it's home to the Canadian Parliament, but it's closed until further notice for restoration work. No, Ottawa's real secret is its vast museum offerings, including seven national museums. I recommend the Fine Arts, War, and History museums. The Rideau Canal is a very pleasant place to stroll along the waterfront in the heart of the city, and if you want to go out at night, head to the ByWard Market. Ottawa is a quiet city, but it's full of nice little tourist attractions. As Ontario's slogan so aptly puts it: "Yours to discover."
