This time on our NEUTC Webinar series, listen to Dr. Monika Filipovska with the University of Connecticut discuss her work with the "RIDERS" project. The "RIDERS" project investigates how autonomous ride-hailing fleets equipped with connected and automated vehicle technology can reduce traffic congestion and improve safety by collecting and sharing real-time traffic data across urban transportation networks. Using simulations and New York City traffic data, the project develops intelligent routing and vehicle repositioning strategies to enhance mobility efficiency, service quality, and transportation system performance.
