Bringing The Hare to Life | In Our Absence

In this episode, I begin painting one of the most important parts of the entire composition: the hare. Using many thin acrylic layers, I slowly build up the fur hair by hair, carefully working from dark tones to lighter details to create depth, softness, and realism. Inspired by old master paintings, I wanted the hare to bring a quiet tension into the scene, almost as if it’s emerging from the shadows. Alongside the painting process, I also included cinematic nature footage of a real hare to capture the atmosphere and feeling behind this part of the artwork. This episode also includes: 🎨 The antique pocket watch 📚 The stack of old books 🍂 Draped leaves and dark background details 🖌️ Realistic acrylic painting techniques Q&A: I’m also planning a future Q&A video, so if there’s anything you’d like to know about my paintings, techniques, creative process, YouTube journey, or life as an artist, feel free to leave your questions in the comments below. I’d love to answer them in an upcoming video.
