After teaching on the character of the Christian, Jesus moves on to making application after application throughout the rest of the sermon on the mount. Christians are to have an impact, an influence on the earth and world around them. Today we look at the first similitude Jesus uses, you are salt of the earth. How are we to be salt, why are we to be salt and what does it mean to be salt. The earth depends on it, even though it may not know it!
