Fixing Rear Drum Brake Adjustment Cable *01 Cummins*

Fixing rear drum brake adjustment cable on my 2001 24 valve cummins. This part of the rear drum brakes has been broken for a little bit now, and I finally got around to replacing the adjustment cable. The rear brake shoes should be able to stay adjusted properly now to the rear drums and the brakes should feel a bit nicer while driving. I replaced the shoes and drums a few months back and noticed that the brakes had an issue afterwards and that's when I discovered the rear adjustment cable had broke and was not adjusting the rear drum brakes properly. Now I can focus on replacing the brake master cylinder and possibly the hydroboost system and the entire brake system on my 24 valve cummins diesel should be good to go at that point. I will most likely have to adjust the drum brakes with a drum brake adjuster tool or drum brake adjuster spoon. The brake cable adjuster just helps to keep the brake shoes close to the drum as a automatic brake adjuster, to aid in stopping. SUBSCRIBE for more truck content.
