Tai Chi Chuan Wu Style Form by Gary Wragg

About Sifu Gary Wragg The Academy's chief instructor and director, Sifu Gary Wragg is one of the foremost exponents of Tai Chi Ch'uan in the UK and senior representative of the Wu Family in Europe. His Academy is the original Wu's Tai Chi Academy for London, UK and Europe. He is a founder member and former chairman of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain, and is currently an executive committee and technical panel member of the Union. He is also on the executive committee of the International Federation of Wu's Style Tai Chi Ch'uan. He teaches in Great Britain and abroad, and has an international reputation for his demonstrations, workshops, and Tai Chi skills. In 1991 and 1993 Sifu Gary Wragg was Canadian Push Hands Champion. In 1998 he was silver medalist in push hands, advanced form, double edged sword, and sabre forms at the Pan American Martial Arts Tournament in Toronto. At the 2000 British Open he won a silver medal in the Spear competition. In the third European Tai Chi Championships in St Petersburg, Russia October 2004, he was silver medalist in the experts Wu style form division. He was a silver medalist at the 2006 Pan-American Tournament in Toronto and a silver medalist at the second World Championships in Zhengzhou, China in 2006.Many of his students have also been national and international Tai Chi Chuan champions. His aim in running the Academy is to teach members and novices according to the principles laid down in the Tai Chi Classics, and to the high standards required by the Wu family. Gary Wragg is also an artist who exhibits regularly.
