Today we ride to Sary Tash on our round-the-world motorcycle tour, our final stop before entering China, and another huge milestone for our round-the-world journey. Storm — our BMW R1300 GSA — has now crossed 20,000 km, and in this episode we talk honestly about how the bike is holding up after months of real-life travel through Europe, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and now Kyrgyzstan. This isn’t a review… it’s a fully documented, day-by-day test across every kind of road, border, climate and challenge the trip has thrown at us. This is also the end of Season 3, a season that took us through the heart of Central Asia: • long days on the Kazakh desert highways • the brutal beauty of Tajikistan’s Wakhan Valley • the high-altitude grit of the Pamir Highway • the remote mountain routes leading into Kyrgyzstan • the cultures, checkpoints, and people who shaped this leg of the journey • and the constant push east as we closed in on the Chinese border Season 3 has been about distance, resilience, altitude, and the reality of living on the road with everything we own packed onto one bike.
