Advent Of Anesthesia
This 1936 silent film reenactment of the introduction of surgical anesthesia was produced, directed and acted by MGH staff members. Two future Mass General chiefs – Edward Churchill (Surgery) and William J. Mixter (Neurosurgery) – are among the stars of this fairly accurate production.
