Taj Farrant and Jazal Farrant "Getting Thrown Under The Bus" | NAMM 2026 Interview

Taj’s already out there doing it. Jazal just joined the band, still learning, still pushing, and honest about how hard some of it can be. Taj didn’t sugarcoat it. If you don’t learn the parts, you’re gonna look stupid on stage. That kind of honesty only works when there’s trust behind it. Jazal is also studying with Matthew Robert Fink, Prince’s longtime keyboard player, which says a lot about the level of work being done behind the scenes. Their advice for young musicians landed simply and clearly. As long as you’re happy and you love your instrument, you will progress. That’s the work. And that’s the hope.
