The convenient bike path takes you to the city center, the port, and Via Matteotti, before entering the heart of old Sanremo, known as "la pigna." Don't miss the "sardenara," a typical red focaccia from western Liguria. Saturday is market day, and the town is crowded with French people who regularly shop both in the shops and at the market stalls. The city center is lively and festive, even outside of the Italian Song Festival. Sanremo's new camper van parking area will be built near the parking lot.
