Yosemite - 13 Day Backpack - 124 miles - Most Gorgeous Views!

Summer 2022! Thirteen days, 124 miles backpacking Yosemite! The pinnacle of our Epic Road Trip. A relaxing silent video of an epic backpacking trip of the backcountry in Yosemite. Starting from Tioga Road up the 10 Lakes Trailhead (night 1), pass Ten Lakes, past sequoias, down scree to South Fork Cathedral Creek, aka mosquito creek (night 2). Next through a mosquito bog to Glen Aulin, and dine at the waterfall (night 3). North on the Pacific Crest Trail through Cold Canyon, to the perfectly still Miller Lake (night 4). Continue pass Matterhorn Canyon and snowy Benson Pass; head off the PCT to enchanting Rodgers Lake (night 5). South through Rodgers Canyon and down over 5,000 (without enough water!) to a warm Pate Valley (night 6). Climb the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne River over a pass and past countless waterfalls, camp before Waterwheel Falls (night 7). Continue to climb past Glen Aulin and through Tuolumne Meadows to the Visitor's Center (and my great support crew husband) for a restock, then on to Rafferty Creek (night 8). A "short" jaunt to Vogelsang, set up base camp, and continue up past Vogelsang Lake to the pass, and back down to camp (night 9). Head back down and south past Merced Camp and Merced Lake to the Merced River to camp (night 10). Climb past more granite and then pass an amazing meadow; pass Sunrise Camp to Sunrise Lakes and camp (night 11). Take a day-hike lolli-pop to Clouds Rest, down to the John Muir Trail, then up through a sad burn scar back to Sunrise Lakes to camp (night 12). Out to Tenaya Lake, get a hitch from Olmsted Point back to the car, then take a quick visit to the Valley before leaving the park and rejoining my husband and the RV for a much needed shower, hot meal, and doggy kisses.
