Ma Thien Lanh is a low rocky hill located on the outer edge of Dai Mountain, in Luong Phi Commune, Tri Ton District, An Giang Province. Dai Mountain is one of the 7 typical mountains of the That Son range with a length of more than 8km and a height of 580m. During the war, Ma Thien Lanh had an outpost, a platoon of the Liberation Army stationed there with the purpose of monitoring all military activities of the US and the Republic of Vietnam Army in the area. In September 1970, after discovering the location of the Liberation Army, the US and the Republic of Vietnam Army dispatched aircraft to bomb the cave, burying 7 Liberation Army soldiers, trapping them and unable to escape, and later sacrificing their lives. It took many years for the cave to be opened manually to find the remains of the martyrs.
