How to Get Around the I-65 Closure in Louisville, KY | Official Southbound Detour

Need to get around the I-65 closure in Louisville, Kentucky? In this video, I drive the official detour route recommended during the downtown Louisville bridge replacement project. The trip begins in Clarksville, Indiana, following Veterans Parkway to I-65 South and across the Ohio River. From there, the official route continues using the tolled John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge crossing before connecting to I-64 West and I-264 East to bypass the I-65 closure zone. At the beginning of the video, I provide a Google Maps overview of the detour so you can see exactly where the route goes before getting behind the wheel. Unfortunately, a technical issue caused the audio to fail near the Fort Knox exit area, and the video recording stopped shortly afterward, so this is not a complete recording of the entire detour. However, the video captures the majority of the route and provides a good look at what drivers can expect when following the official detour.
