Hornsea Beach Fishing Sea Fishing UK March 2024

For our March video we've headed to Hornsea. We aimed to get our fish numbers up by beach casting from an area of Hornsea opposite to the Eastgate carpark. The day started with a bacon sandwich for me and Steve. Spot on. The ladies at the cafe looked after us and did a great job. Thanks. Andy and Nav joined us shortly after making a pit stop at Greggs en-route. We started digging for worms - long story short, we're gonna buy bait pumps. Me being obviously the youngest and most spritely of the group, I was gonna win this race.... I didn't, at 14,000 steps for the day we covered enough ground but the pickings were slim. Half a dozen worms and two razor clams. I'm spending a fiver next time. With two rods each we hoped the action would be frequent but this wasn't to be. Andy caught Rockling, a Dab and a Hake. At 34cm the Hake was legal size but was simply too thin to consider eating so all fish went back safe and sound. Nav came in second with a couple of Rockling while me and Steve were fruitless again. I will have my revenge. The tide flowed in considerably quicker than anticipated causing us to retreat swiftly. As always we had a BBQ. Cheese burgers were a win and I managed not to cremate them like the sausages of Sandsend as they shall ever be known. We were joined by two gentleman over the course of the day who stayed for a short while and chatted about what we were up to. Again we laughed, got some fresh air, ate food, drank coffee and got to fish a new area to us. To all who watched and read this blurb type thing, cheers, we appreciate it. Next month, April, weather permitting, sees us headed to Whitby to go wreck fishing on The Alliance with skipper Shaun Elwick. Fingers crossed for some great action, we're in the Whitby Fishing Festival! Thanks again, like and subscribe... pretty please. If you would like to support us we have go fund me account. Eventually we aim to get more people into sea fishing supporting where we can. https://gofund.me/f974ef8c Find our group on Facebook if you are interested in joining us.   / 3568147426770271   Tight lines and big smiles.
