Fundamental rights at Frontex
Fundamental rights are at the core of the values of the European Union. They apply to all people in the EU, regardless of their nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age or immigration status. The protection of fundamental rights is an essential element of integrated border management and of all Frontex activities. The Frontex Fundamental Rights Office (FRO) provides independent advice to the agency to ensure that all its activities comply with fundamental rights and international law.
