Honest Review Universal Kids. What Works & How To Fix What Doesn't.

Universal Kids is opening and this video I give my honest review and a ‘to do’ list for Universal Creative to fix their first park for young kids. Value engineering plays a part, but first impressions matter most to guests, so fixes are needed. Notes from the video. I’m breaking my usual rule of not reviewing a movie based only on a trailer—or a theme park without visiting in person. Universal Kids is an exception because I have a connection to the project. After working on Minion Blast at Universal Studios Orlando, my next assignment was expected to be Universal Kids Resort. For various reasons, I didn’t stay involved for long, and looking at the finished park, I’m reminded that my time on it was brief. The park has not received many positive reviews, but the bigger question is whether it has strong fundamentals. Hong Kong Disneyland and Disney California Adventure both opened with problems yet improved over time. Parks that start weak can become stronger, but only with time, investment, and patience.
