Bolsonaro Escolheu Flávio: O Sobrenome Ainda Ganha Eleição?

Jair Bolsonaro has chosen Flávio Bolsonaro as his spokesperson and candidate. But does the family name remain a true electoral trump card, capable of defeating opponents, overcoming rejection, and uniting the entire Brazilian right? In this video, we use the classic card game Super Trumps as a metaphor to analyze the political succession within Bolsonarism. Jair Bolsonaro hands his most powerful card to his son, but Flávio will need to prove that he inherited something beyond the name, the electoral base, and the mission of defending his father. We analyze the main cards in this political deck: The weight of the Bolsonaro surname. The strength of anti-PT sentiment and polarization. The narrative of persecution and political martyrdom. The influence of the religious and conservative electorate. Flávio's difficulty in appearing moderate without losing the radical wing. We also discussed the disagreements between Flávio and Michelle Bolsonaro, an influential figure among conservative and evangelical women, and the conflicts involving Eduardo Bolsonaro, Paulo Figueiredo, and the more ideological sectors of the movement. These divisions reveal that the succession of Jair Bolsonaro is far from being a game with a predetermined outcome. History shows that imprisoned, exiled, or disqualified leaders can transfer votes to their representatives, but this transfer is never automatic. We compared the Brazilian case to the examples of Juan Domingo Perón and Héctor Cámpora, Lula and Fernando Haddad, as well as Imran Khan and his allies in Pakistan. Flávio Bolsonaro received a powerful card. He received his father's nomination, a nationally known surname, and a mobilized political base. But is that enough to win the Presidency of the Republic? In a democracy, no card is completely unbeatable. The final decision does not belong to the leader who chooses the candidate, the son who receives the mission, or the influencers who vie for control of the movement.
