The Chevrolet Montana is a compact pickup truck developed by Chevrolet in Brazil specifically for emerging (underdeveloped) markets, sold in Latin America, South Africa, and Europe (sold as the Opel Corsa Pickup). Its design is based on the Corsa model, from 2003 to 2010, and the Agile model, from 2010 onward. With so many vehicle categories being created every day by automakers, seeking to compete and satisfy all customer desires and needs, it was obvious that the light pickup truck segment would be the next target of competition. Thus, since October 2003, consumers have had another option. The Montana pickup truck replaces the Corsa pickup truck. Like its predecessor, GM's new vehicle was derived from the second-generation Corsa, with which it shared a platform.
