[ASMR] What is an Atom? Chemistry for Beginners | Basic Concepts

I was asked to make videos that are more for beginners, which is a great idea! I talk about the basics of an atom, starting with the concept of how positive and negative charges attract each other. Then I go over what's in an atom (protons, neutrons, and electrons). The structure of an atom might surprise you! I give an analogy to a soccer/football field so that you can get a general sense of where the protons are, where the electrons are, and the size of the nucleus compared to the size of the whole atom. I then give some examples, starting with a lithium atom. I also show the difference between atoms (like helium gas in balloons), molecules (like oxygen gas we breathe), and ionic compounds (like table salt). This ending part goes a little bit beyond atoms, and I'm happy to talk more about those concepts in future videos - let me know! Also, you might notice that I use a pencil instead of a calligraphy pen and ink this time. I ran out of ink, so this was my backup.
