How NOT to tip a machine over.. Before you get close, have a plan
After working with skid steers, excavators, tractors and trucks for many years now, I learned that knowing the limitations of your machines is a key factor in preventing a roll over, or tipping a machine over. It takes a lot of time operating each machine to get a feel for the balance of it, and if and when you are about to tip over. And on top of that, IF you are about to tip or roll a machine there is almost always an effective counter move that can prevent tipping or rolling a machine if it is done instantaneously. In today's episode we are going to demonstrate a counter move that will prevent the Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer from tipping over all the way on a downhill slope with a full bucket of wet clay. If you are a brand new operator, or someone who is renting a machine I definitely don't recommend pushing a machine this far, and to be extra cautious. But if you are starting to get comfortable on a machine, getting to know it's limitations is a key to preventing a tipping or rolling accident, and potential serious injury that can come with a roll over. I don't claim to be an expert equipment operator, and I never have, but with some common sense and critical thinking while you are operating a machine of any kind, you should be able to prevent a tragedy from happening. Thanks for joining us today, I hope to see you on a future video here at KO 2.0. Thanks and take care. #tippingpoint #machinetipping #tippingamachine #equipmentrollover #kapperoutdoors2.0
