Painting a John Berkey Styled Spaceship and Planet

In this edition I paint a spaceship and planet scene inspired by the art of John Berkey, one of my favorite artists. Berkey is known for many science fiction book covers, movie posters, and fantastic advertising illustrations. He had an almost impressionist illustration style and painted with his own formula made from casein and acrylic paint. While Berkey produced far more finished work, this was a fun painting-in-an-evening in front of an audience. This was taken from a May 2020 livestream. Enjoy!
