Tides 2 Trails Takes a Fleet of Kiddos to the River

We boldly went where few parents dare to go. We took 3 rambunctious kiddos and 2 angsty teens out for a paddle on the Tchefuncte River. We had an excellent day! We visited the rope swing. We ate some lunch. We explored a few bayous. Our boats were, my 14ft Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140, an 8ft Sun Dolphin sit in kids kayak, a 10ft Ascend sit on top fishing kayak, a 10ft Pelican sit in kayak, and a 13ft tandem sit in canoe/kayak. Attitudes were flaring, but all was well when we finished up the day with dinner at Middendorf's on Manchac Pass.
