Simon finds a way to get into the Staff, in which Sora was trapped in, to kill him once and for all (Without damaging the power of Sun). But what he didn't expect, was to see Eissa there. But he looked different from how people described him. The books say he was evil and very manipulative, but he seemed weak and forced to be in his position. Simon soon realised that the stories must've been false and a lie. Simon wants to help Eissa escape and see the good side, but Eissa is very conflicted and sees his sacrifice and the staff as a punishment. In the end Simon finds Eissa's side of everything convincing and sticks up for him too. But Sora found out about Simon being there and in order to protect his friend, Eissa kicks him out of the Staff (chrystal world) so Sora wouldn't find him.
