Matt Emig - 2011 Forms

In 2011 I used a different song every tournament! LOL I think I was bored of competing. Here is a little description of what I was thinking about at each tournament. Quebec Open I went back to the classic Red Square song and I wanted to do a typical combo you would expect from me. I was so excited to use this song again I forgot to make up an intro. You can tell I freestyle it! AKA Grand Nationals This was the first tournament of the year and I wasn’t feeling NASKA. I wanted to see if I could win the musical division without being choreographed. I did but then lost the runoffs which is this form right here. Gator Nationals I was on a mission at this tournament. Shoot to Kill! I wanted to win but I also wanted to do a killer form. I was all about the crowd at this one. I tried to spay water out of my mouth on the first trick but it didn’t come out as much as I wanted. Compete Nationals I must have been watching Danny Graham’s trick sampler before I went up. LOL US Open I trained hard for this tournament. Every year at the US Open they pick who is going on stage. They announced who they selected 2 weeks before the tourny. For some reason they didn’t pick me when I won the same amount as everyone else. I was on a mission to destroy anyone in my way. Diamond Nationals Weapons form Probably one of my best Chuk forms! Diamond Nationals IDK what I was thinking, I was trying to do an “Epic” performance because I though this was going to be my last tournament. I decided what I was going to do backstage but didn’t rehearse it. I figured doing a shrunken round instead of a cork would be easier cause I was doing a bunch of hard tricks before the opening combo but I ended up almost breaking my knee. I actually thought for a second it snapped again. While I was doing the rest of the form I remember thinking, “Damn I can’t go out like this I guess I have to compete next year.”
