Saturday’s isolated severe storms brought plenty of downed trees from thunderstorm wind gusts. Heavy rain and marble-sized hail were reported in the Foothills and north of Winston-Salem. Heat and humidity are back Sunday with feels-like temperatures in the lower 100s. Severe thunderstorms are possible on Sunday afternoon, with a better chance of a few scattered severe storms in the southeastern Piedmont Triad. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m. in areas like Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Burlington and Troy.
