Introducing: CNN - 1979 Sales Presentation
This is the original video sales presentation to gain awareness and support of a new cable television channel. John, Susan and I put this together working overnights for one week in 1979 at the WTCG 1018 West Peachtree Street location in Atlanta. It was edited "manually" with time code on three Ampex AVR-3s and a brand-new VPR-2, Vidifont, GVG-1600 switcher and just about anything else we could get our hands on at the station. There was no DVE, Norelco PC-72 studio cameras shot (and animated) prints and art cards, monitors and slide projectors. Original version voiced by Bob Neal. Restored from Quad videotape at the Transfer Lab at Video Park: www.videopark.com/transfer/Video_Transfer.html
